What is a good survival-esque team game? (The Hunger Games)?

There are 12 of us, 3 teams of 4, and we are having a 3 day camping trip. We are making a game out of the camping trip, because we all just read the Hunger Games haha. We are going to limit supplies to force hunting and fishing. We are making a center point, likely a lake or something, then expanding 2.5 miles of forest around it to condense the playing field. We have a good foundation to it, but we need to add an attacking element to it. We want this to be legitimate, but don’t want it turning into a brawl. We have thought about paintball guns, but we want something more melee I guess.

PS. We are all about 18, so please do not question our ages haha. Thanks in advance.

Saw this in a movie once. Red team, blue team wearing colored arm bands to identify themselves. War game insofar as teams have to take prisoners and object of the game is to occupy enemy territory and force surrender.
