Cheap gun to hunt big game?

I’m looking for something probably from $300-500 used, what types of guns should I be looking for? I’m a beginner so I don’t need anything fancy or that great I just need something that if I just go out in the woods and find a deer its gonna get the job done! =) Thanks

I recommend a good bolt action in .30-06.
Take a look at the Tikka T3, It’s a Finnish rifle made by SAKO. I have one in .270, the action is very smooth, and it is incredibly accurate. Mine consistently shoots sub-MOA.
I would also look at used Remington 700 rifles.
There is an overwhelming number of calibers that are great at taking down deer. I recommend the .30-06 for a first hunting rifle because it is a very versatile round, capable of taking down most North American game (I would not use it for brown bear, bison, or muskox).
