Bring Your Hunting Equipment In Good Shape Before The Big Day
Deer rubs; scrapes, droppings, and tracks are the most common signs which hunters use to find deer. Scrapes are places where deer scratch the ground and urinate below low hanging branches to mark the territory and attract female deer. The tracks reveal the size, age, and the species of the deer. The deer generally move just before sunrise or just after sunset to have their food. Deer may also leave their bedding places if there is a storm or heavy precipitation. These situations make the deer nervous and will most likely make the deer want to run away. Even the moon may affect the deer movement.
If you decide to go out hunting, make sure your hunting equipment is in good shape. Many different types of hunting equipment are allowed and used for deer hunting. These include bows, crossbows, rifles, shotguns, pistols, and muzzleloaders. There are rules and regulations controlling the size of hunting equipment and arms.
