Store Bought Outdoor Fire Pit and Cooking?

Hey. I have a question. Someone in my family bought me a store bought outdoor fire pit. I remember reading the instructions and it didn’t want me to cook with it. Now I can’t find them and I want to know why. I would love to cook in it.

P.S. it’s a round pretty bowl that sits on a stand and you can make fires in it

We have a fire pit like the one you described..If you have a grill that can be placed a top.I don’t see why you couldn’t cook on it…
