Should there be a gun amnesty in America?

In the British colony of America, gun crime is out of hand. This is because of a ‘right’ (apparently) to bear arms. As a result, every Tom, Dick and Harry is armed to the teeth, including all the nutters.

Surely the solution would be a gun amnesty; all citizens could take their firearms to the nearest British embassy or consulate and surrender the weapons. In return, we British would supply the British equivalents; either spud guns, water pistols or pea shooters. Anyone giving in a large machine gun would be guaranteed a cap gun in return.

You know it makes sense.

I have never heard such tripe before, what utter bollocks you talk DeCat, I am mortified at your suggestion at arming the nutters with spud guns, have you no concept at what this will do the the worlds production of spuds? I should have known immediately as you don’t really care if they kill each other in the colonies, you have never forgiven them for ruining your Great, Great Uncle Egberts Tea company in Boston
