Wild Hog Hunting Guides

Where can I hunt hogs in Florida?
I am looking for somewhere I can hunt wild hogs in Florida that are not “guided” hunts. I know some WMA allow it during the various hunting seasons, but I am looking for some private or public land that will allow it year round without having to pay $350 for a “trophy hog”.
I’am not certain so check to be sure but hog’s are not a natural species in Florida so they don’t have a season, meaning you can hunt one whenever you so please as long as you follow the other rules of a regular season. Like I said I know their not natural in Florida (the Spanish brought them I believe) so they shouldn’t have a season. Best thing to do is call the closest Florida Wildlife Officer station and ask them. They’ll be under the government section near the front of the phone book.
If they don’t have a season you can hunt them on public land anytime you want, ask about that too. If you can and will make sure to use common sense, don’t hunt near marked trail’s, campsites, etc. The only thing bad with hunting on public land is if someoe comes tromping through the area your hunting there is nothing you can do about it. But if you pick a secluded area you won’t see another human being.
