Either breeds as catch dog for hunting wild boar?

could either of these be catch dogs on the hunt
some people say small hog yes on larger hogs they need help well whats a small hog to you?
I mean essentially its the same body type diffrent colour and diffrent mind set
As I was growing up we raised hogs in the swamp lands and had to remove them every year or so when the backwaters would flood the swamps trapping the hogs on ridges. We never knew another breed of hog dog existed except the catahoula cur.
I’m here to tell you from personal experience that if a catahoula cur can’t stop a hog he can’t be stopped!.. I saw hogs that weighed in at 300 lbs stopped by a cur dog hanging onto his jowls. The dog would grab and hang on, and the hog might drag him for a 100 yards or so, but then he stopped and it was over with. We then got ropes on him, hitched him to a horse and dragged him to the flat boats for hauling to the hills.
The hog dog at work is a beautiful sight. He would find the hogs, bay them up, keep them there until we got there and would grab the one that was pointed out to him to catch. He had no fear and knew what it took to keep from getting his guts cut out.
A tip here for you. carry antiseptic, cat gut and a suture needle in case of bad cuts to the dogs. It will happen on occasion Good luck!
